books that make a difference
With a background as a journalist and a love for words from a very early age, Melina is the author of three published books, has contributed to others and is in the process of writing three more.
Two of her books are How to be m.a.d. (making a difference) and m.a.d. (making a difference) in a green way.
They provide people with clever, practical and creative ways they can contribute to their communities, help others and reduce their environmental impact.
The books are printed using soy ink and a waterless process on 100 per cent recycled paper.
Melina also wrote a book for the Black Saturday bushfires, Beneath Dark Skies, which captured first-hand stories from Callignee, Koornalla, Le Roy and Traralgon South.
The book details experiences of the terrifying firestorms, miraculous survivals, the heartache of loved ones, pets and homes being lost forever, and selfless acts of courage and generosity.
